Why use XHTML and CSS??

These 2 sites have changed my life. The importance of the accessibility of your site cannot be underestimated. Part of this is to ensure that your site validates to current standards - ie doesn't use out-of-date code.

Current thinking is that separating content from layout is a great idea - it makes maintenance so easy. You make global changes to the look and feel of your site by altering one file. The Zen Garden site above demonstrates that you can radically alter the design of your site without altering the file containing your content. If all of this doesn't excite you as much as it excites me, then there's something wrong!
